Screen Dance Market

Im Rahmen des dancescreen 2019 + TANZRAUSCHEN Festival in Wuppertal wird vom 21.-23.11.2019 ein dreitägiger Screen Dance Market stattfinden, der hochkarätige Referent*innen und Gästen der internationalen und nationalen Film-, Tanz- und Medienszene nach Wuppertal bringt.

Ein Netzwerktreffen, mit Vorträgen, dancescreen 2019 Pitching Sessions, One-on-One Expert Speed Datings, VR- Präsentationen und Ausstellungen zur künstlichen Intelligenz, von Themen wie Tanzfilm und Mode, Animation, bis hin zu Digital Art. Ein Branchentreffen der internationalen und lokalen Szene, der auch allen interessierten aus Wuppertal und der Region offensteht. Die Veranstaltungen sind in englischer und deutscher Sprache.

Das ansonsten geschlossene Schauspielhaus wird zu einem Symbol des Umbruchs, der Transformation und Innovation in unserer Stadt. Es geht um neue Formen des gemeinsamen Arbeitens, um Impulse für die lokale und internationale Kreativwirtschaft, um einen Austausch von Produzent*innen im Bereich Film, Choreografie und Tanz: zwischen Wirtschaft und künstlerischer Praxis, Theorie und Produktion, zwischen globalen Playern und Initiativen vor Ort. Um eine nachhaltige Stärkung des Medienstandorts NRW und Profilierung der Film- und Tanzstadt Wuppertal. Der Screen Dance Market wird im Besonderen unterstützt vom Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Innovation, Digitalisierung und Energie des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Screen Dance Market

As part of the dancescreen 2019 + TANZRAUSCHEN Festival in Wuppertal, a three-day Screen Dance Market will take place from 21-23 November 2019, which will bring distinguished speakers and guests from the international film, dance and media scene to Wuppertal.

A network meeting with lectures, dancescreen 2019 pitching session, one-on-one expert meetings, VR presentations and artificial intelligence exhibitions ranging from dance and fashion, animation, to digital art. A gathering of the international industry and local scene, open for everyone from Wuppertal and the region. The events will be held in English and German. Accreditation and the complete program will be available from 14.10.2019. Accredit yourself here!! The normally closed Schauspielhaus becomes a symbol of change, transformation and innovation in our city. To stimulate and establish new forms of cooperation for the local and international creative industries, an exchange of producers in the field of film, choreography and dance. To sustainably strengthen the media location of NRW and to profile the film and dance city of Wuppertal. The dancescreen 2019 Pitching Session invites film producers to pitch a project in development or a project idea to experts in dance film, broadcasting and the media industries for professional feedback, funding or coproduction. Do you have a brilliant idea for a dance film, video or dance project and are you searching for producers, distributors and professionals to help you further? Then submit your project!

The dancescreen 2019 Pitching Session is an extraordinary opportunity for aspiring and established filmmakers and production companies to receive valuable feedback and practical advice from experts. The dancescreen 2019 Pitching Session provides the opportunity to test and further develop skills and to get first or second impressions of the business aspects of the dance film market. In addition and as part of the IMZ's professionalisation focus, this programme is designed to help professionals to take further steps into the international dance film industry.

You can apply for the dancescreen Pitching Session by submitting your project through the dancescreen 2019 Pitching Session online application. The selection committee will decide on the successful applicants. The application process does not define one winning project, but a maximum of 8 proposals are selected to pitch.
