Liebe Besucherinnen und Besucher des „dancescreen 2019 + TANZRAUSCHEN“-Festivals, willkommen in Wuppertal! Der Stadt des Tanzes, des Films und in der Stadt des Tanzfilms. Ich freue mich außerordentlich, dass der weltweit wichtigste Tanzfilmwettbewerb in meiner Heimatstadt stattfindet und mir die Ehre zukommt, die Schirmherrschaft für diese Veranstaltung zu tragen.
Welcome to Wuppertal! The city of dance, the city of film and the city of dance film. I am delighted that the world's most important dance film competition is taking place in my hometown, and that I have the honor to be the patron of this event.
Tanzfilm, soweit ich Ihn verstehe bringt auf künstlerische Weise die Menschen dazu, sich zu finden, sich zu verlieren, sich wiederzufinden – und das in Bewegung. Das ist aus meiner Sicht radikal künstlerisch, das ist radikal sozial, und das ist radikal menschlich.
Dance-on-screen, as I understand it, creatively brings human beings to find one-another, to lose one-another, and then to re-connect, through movement. In my view, this is radically artistic, it is radically social, and it is radically human.
Ich lade alle professionell und nicht-professionell Tanz und Film Begeisterten, Tanz und Film Interessierten und Tanz und Film Beschäftigten herzlichst ein, dieses Festival im November zu besuchen und es bloss nicht zu verpassen.
I sincerely invite all professionals as well as all non professional dance and film enthusiasts, those interested in dance and film, and those employed in the dance and film sector to attend and not miss this festival.

Der Schirmherr
Helge Lindh, deutsch-finnischer Germanist und Politiker ist seit 2017 Bundestagsabgeordneter der SPD. Er studierte zunächst angewandte Kulturwissenschaften, Soziologie, Germanistik und Geschichte, und anschließend unter anderem neuere deutsche Philologie, Neueste Geschichte einschließlich Landesgeschichte und Soziologie. Von 2012 bis 2017 war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Landtag NRW für SPD-Abgeordnete. 2012 wurde er Beauftragter für politische Bildung im Vorstand der SPD Wuppertal. Er war von 2014 bis 2018 Vorsitzender des Integrationsrates der Stadt Wuppertal. Helge Lindh ist ordentliches Mitglied im Innenausschuss und im Ausschuss für Kultur und Medien, demokratiepolitischer Sprecher der SPD-Bundestagsfraktion, sowie Mitglied der Europa-Union Deutschland, die sich für ein föderales Europa und den europäischen Einigungsprozess einsetzt.

Helge Lindh, German-Finnish scholar and politician has been member of parliament for the Social Democratic Party (SPD) since 2017. He studied applied cultural science, sociology, German literature and history, and subsequently, modern German philology, modern history, and sociology. From 2012 to 2017 he was a research associate for state parliament representatives (SPD) in Northrhine-Westfalia. In 2012 he became a delegate for political education on the board of the SPD Wuppertal. From 2014 to 2018 he was chairman of the Integration Council of the city of Wuppertal. In the Bundestag, Helge Lindh is member of the Committee on Internal Affairs and the Committee on Culture and Media. Furthermore, he is spokesman of the SPD faction working group on Democracy. He is also a member of the "Europa-Union" in Germany, which is committed to a federal Europe and European unification.
